Our comprehensive eye exams utilize advanced diagnostic technology to assess visual acuity and ocular health. These evaluations detect early signs of eye diseases while considering systemic health factors. Patients receive personalized recommendations for vision correction and preventive care based on their specific needs and lifestyle requirements.
Cataract Surgery
We offer modern cataract removal procedures using phacoemulsification technology with intraocular lens implantation. Our surgeons employ precise techniques to restore clear vision while minimizing recovery time. Patients benefit from preoperative counseling to select optimal lens options tailored to their visual demands and daily activities.
Glaucoma Management
Our glaucoma specialists implement evidence-based treatment protocols to control intraocular pressure and prevent optic nerve damage. Diagnostic tools like visual field testing and OCT imaging guide personalized management plans that may include medicated drops, laser therapy, or surgical interventions to preserve vision long-term.
Contact Lens Fitting
Our optometrists provide customized contact lens fittings for various vision corrections needs. We offer trials with multiple lens materials and designs to ensure optimal comfort and visual clarity. Patients receive comprehensive training on proper lens handling, hygiene, and replacement schedules for safe, effective wear.
Pediatric Eye Care
Specialized examinations for children focus on detecting developmental vision issues and eye alignment problems. Questions
How often should adults have comprehensive eye exams?
Adults aged 18-40 should have exams every 2-3 years, while those over 40 require annual testing. Patients with diabetes or family eye disease history need yearly checkups.
What is the purpose of eye dilation during exams?
Dilation allows thorough retinal examination to detect diseases like macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Effects typically last 3-4 hours with light sensitivity as a common side effect.
What payment options are available for eye care services?
We accept major credit cards, checks, and cash payments. Our billing department works with insurance providers to maximize benefits while offering flexible payment arrangements for out-of-pocket expenses.
Are home vision tests a substitute for professional exams?
Home tests can identify potential issues but cannot replace comprehensive professional exams. They lack diagnostic accuracy for detecting asymptomatic eye diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration.

I'm a patient of Dr. Vinca and Dr. Huang at this office. Dr. Vinca is the most skilled surgeon and Ophthalmologist in the bay area hands down and Dr. Huang is the best optometrist that you could ever have. They are very knowledgeable, detailed oriented, and deeply care about their patients. I should also note that the staff are very helpful, kind, and positive too.

Very disappointed at this place. For the past 2 times, the wait time was more than an hour. Nobody came out and explained the reason of the delay, and no one apologized of the delay. If you couldn't keep the time, what's the point of scheduling it? The second time we were there, Dr. Ornitz came in without even a bit of familiarity of our case and chart, still asking the question if it's the first time we are here.

When we asked about the condition she didn't quite spending time explaining to us. I saw in other comments this is quite common for them to keep patients waiting. And no, there's nothing you can do to make it right and give back the 2 hours we spent waiting.

Was referred to Dr vinca, The online form creation is terrible and even if you fill it out they don't seem to have the info. They struggled with basic history which they could have found easily My entire appointment was rushed and I had significant Concerns. It was late in the day and they seemed more concerned in collecting revenue than anything else. Dr Vinca was pleasant but really did not take the time, did not provide a prescription, I would not return. This was an unpleasant experience

Our past 2 appointments for my son started so late. Last time we waited more than an hour to be seen, and today we are approaching the 1 hour mark. Understandable that there are other people ahead but seems like patients are overbooked and time is squeezed in for everyone. We booked this appointment FOUR MONTHS AGO. Its really unprofessional to be honest and very inconsiderate of other peoples time. Please make sure you allow ample time for every patient and to make scheduled appointments on time or a reasonable wait. This is ridiculous!
