Dr. Kimberly Wheeler

Dr. Wheeler joined the practice in 2006 following her residency at Christus Santa Rosa. Board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, she serves as a member of the Travis County Medical Society while providing comprehensive care to Lockhart residents.

We are new to the area and I was looking to get my children established with a new doctor. I want to believe that these doctors are probably kind thoughtful people but you can get past the front desk/receptionists attitude. Short, annoyed and rude on the phone. Every time I have called she has placed me on 3-4 min holds and speak as if I have inconvenienced her day by trying to set an apt or checking to see if they received my new patient forms. This office needs to loose the unkind receptionist at the front, she is the face for your practice and its ugly.

Until today, I've always had a great experience with Dr. Wheeler and Danielle Williams, along with their office staff. Today, however a front office staff by the name of Stephanie was short, abrupt, and thoughtless. I understand needing to change an in-person appointment to a telehealth one due to certain symptoms. I wish I would have been told this ahead of time. When Stephanie told me they couldn't see me in-person for my appointment I had scheduled 3 weeks before she abruptly said "you will have to call for a telehealth appointment." No "I'm sorry" or kindness in her tone or demeanor.
When I asked for the documentation to get a lab slip to complete my fasting labs, she again replied shortly "you'll have to call for us to arrange that later." I am very disappointed and will have to see if I want to continue with Lockhart Family Medicine after being an otherwise satisfied patient there for years.

A lot of people come and go and your still waiting to see a doctor. Wait time is ridiculous, over 30 minutes past appointment time.
