LASIK Surgery
Advanced Topography-Guided LASIK reshapes corneal tissue using precision excimer laser technology. This procedure corrects nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism by creating a customized treatment map with 22,000 elevation points. Patients typically achieve 20/20 vision within 24 hours, with 65% reaching 20/15 acuity. The bladeless technique combines femtosecond laser flap creation with computer-guided tissue ablation for optimal safety and accuracy.
PRK Procedure
Photorefractive Keratectomy removes the corneal epithelium before reshaping the stroma with excimer laser. This alternative to LASIK suits patients with thin corneas, offering equivalent long-term results without flap-related risks. Recovery takes 3-5 days with temporary vision haze, but provides excellent outcomes for high prescriptions up to -8.00 diopters. The procedure maintains natural corneal biomechanics while correcting astigmatism and presbyopia.
Cataract Surgery
Laser-assisted cataract surgery removes clouded natural lenses and implants advanced intraocular lenses (IOLs). Using femtosecond laser precision, we correct astigmatism and implant multifocal options like TECNIS Symfony for continuous vision. The procedure restores vibrant color perception and reduces dependency on glasses, with 94% of patients reporting spectacle independence post-surgery. Recovery includes 24-hour follow-up care and anti-inflammatory medication protocols.
ICL Implantation
STAAR EVO Implantable Collamer Lens provides reversible vision correction for extreme myopia up to -20.00 diopters. This phakic lens sits behind the iris without removing natural lens anatomy, offering superior optical quality compared to laser procedures. The 15-minute outpatient surgery requires no tissue removal, with patients experiencing immediate visual improvement and minimal dry eye complications compared to LASIK.
Refractive Lens Exchange
Refractive Lens Exchange proactively replaces natural lenses with premium IOLs to eliminate dependence on glasses. This procedure combines cataract prevention with vision correction, using multifocal and toric lens options to address presbyopia, astigmatism, and high refractive errors. Patients over 40 benefit from simultaneous correction of distance and near vision, achieving long-term spectacle independence with reduced risk of future cataract development.

Great experience! Since the first appointment where they evaluated if I was a good candidate, they answered all my questions. By the time of the surgery, I already knew the process really well and I was calmed. My recovery has been great, no pain, and my vision is great.

I had a great interaction with the Patient Councelor and Team Leader Michelle Smith. She was caring and informative. I decided not to go forward with the LASIK surgery, because I was not comfortable with taking the potential risks.

Super weird experience. I went to them for a Cross-Linking procedure. The initial setup for testing for Keratoconus was super easy, they were great to work with. After the diagnosis was confirmed, and I went to setup an appointment for the actual appointment things just went to hell. I called and ask for them to start the paper work. They did NOTHING for 40 days until I called and asked why nothing was done.
I'd call and ask for procedure code, so I could get an estimate of costs from my insurance company. They'd refuse to call me back. For about 2 weeks I'd call every morning, be told I'd get a call back before I closed. I NEVER DID. It was an absolute nightmare. I can't trust them to return a phone call about simple procedure information, I can't trust them to do surgery on my eyes.

My experience with furlong vision correction for LASIK was excellent. I don't usually write reviews but wanted to for this experience since I relied heavily on reviews when making my decision. From the beginning, they were up front with everything I should know, and were extremely knowledgeable. It also helped that they take care of the San Jose earthquakes! They had excellent covid-based operations as well, which made me feel safe.
The day of surgery, it was very smooth and fast. They walked me through everything as I was doing it and I was surprised at how quick the procedure felt. Came back for my post-op appointment and so far seeing 20/15! Thanks a bunch folks!
