Services
Well-child checkups
Comprehensive health assessments from infancy through adolescence. Our physicians monitor growth and development, administer age-appropriate screenings, and provide parental guidance on nutrition and safety. These visits ensure early detection of potential health issues while establishing baseline wellness metrics. Our schedule follows AAP-recommended intervals from newborn visits to annual adolescent checkups.
Allergy evaluations
Specialized assessment for children with suspected allergies. Our certified practitioners conduct skin prick tests and symptom analysis to identify environmental and food allergens. We develop personalized management plans including avoidance strategies, medication regimens, and immunotherapy referrals when appropriate. Education focuses on recognizing reaction signs and proper epinephrine use for severe cases.
Adolescent care
Comprehensive services addressing teenage physical and mental health needs. Our Adolescent Center provides confidential consultations on puberty changes, reproductive health, and substance use prevention. Board-certified providers implement evidence-based screening tools for depression and anxiety while maintaining family involvement when appropriate. Services include sports physicals and transition planning to adult healthcare.
Immunizations
Full-spectrum childhood immunization program following CDC guidelines. We offer routine vaccines from birth through adolescence including hepatitis B, MMR, and HPV series. Seasonal flu clinics provide walk-in access to annual influenza protection. Our providers maintain detailed records and offer catch-up schedules for delayed vaccinations while addressing parental concerns with evidence-based information.
Urgent care visits
Evening and weekend treatment for acute illnesses and injuries. Our urgent care team manages febrile illnesses, respiratory infections, minor fractures, and lacerations requiring sutures. Board-certified pediatricians assess dehydration, administer IV fluids when needed, and provide immediate treatment for asthma exacerbations. We coordinate follow-up care with primary physicians for ongoing management of newly diagnosed conditions.

My son has seen Dr. Gilenwater since birth. I cannot say enough good things about him. He has always treated me and my husband with respect and explains things when we have questions. He's great with my son he loves him! Becky and all of the front desk staff that I've encountered have been so helpful. Being a new mom I called the office a lot in his first couple months of life. Anytime my son has been sick they have been able to get us in on the same day.
The only complaint I have is that I have to go to the downtown office for sick visits. Normally he's already in an awful mood because he doesn't feel well so having to drive that much further for the appointment isn't easy on either one of us. Overall I'm so thankful for this office, Dr. Gilenwater, and the rest of the staff!

I've had Dr Mika since I was born. I'm 22 now. She has been incredibly helpful to me. I wish I could have her into my adult years. But sadly I'm going to move to a family physician soon enough

Any doctor at Pediatric Associates is really good but Dr. Gillenwater is absolutely amazing. He is very knowledgeable, down to Earth, and is great with my son. He's friendly and is willing to answer any question we may have.

Every encounter with this dr has left me feeling like a hypochondriac parent and then I usually end up with another visit for better treatment from someone else for the same issue.

What i will never understand is why they schedule a appointment for 9:30am and then leave you in a room for a half a hour and then appear? why not schedule a appointment when you actually have less then a 30 gap? but if your late for a appointment them its a problem time to find somebody else thats nicer and who cares more##
