I have been visiting Semel Vision Care for all my optometry needs since moving to the area. They have been excellent in supporting me for my annual checkups and they have helped me identify and fix a retinal tear. I was kindly welcomed by the staff as they were closing and I was a few minutes late. The staff were are all genuinely very nice and even gave recommendations for family members based off my family's eyesight history. I'm thankful to have found this doctor and felt very safe throughout my whole experience there going during the pandemic. Will keep going back for my yearly exams for sure.

Dr. Semel has been my ophthalmologist for 19 years. She is not only an excellent doctor but also an excellent surgeon, who did both my cataract surgeries. Recently she performed a Lasik procedure on one of my eyes, and I have never seen better. Her staff(I would like to mention Gabriel and Michelle specificly) is excellent as well. Everybody in this office makes you feel comfortable, and when you call there is always somebody available to answer any questions.

I've been wearing glasses/contacts for 2/3 of my life and I recently decided to get lasik. The process was so easy and quick, like a well-oiled machine. I received my consult to determine if I was a candidate and 3 weeks later was having my surgery. Dr. Semel and team took extremely good care of me, were attentive, and on call in the 3 weeks prior to and 3 weeks after my lasik. The surgery itself took ~20 minutes and was painless. Dr. Semel walked me through what she was doing every step of the way.
I followed the post-surgery instructions to the letter and had an incredible recovery: no swelling or bruising, no dry eye, and most importantly I could see perfectly that same day. Being able to see without corrective lenses is already life changing, but I actually now have even better than 20/20 vision which is truly something else! Thank you Semel Vision!
