Services
Diagnostic Ultrasound
Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound allows real-time visualization of soft tissues, including tendons, muscles, and nerves. This non-invasive technique aids in accurate diagnosis and guides precise injections. Our team has over 15 years of specialized experience using ultrasound to identify the root causes of chronic pain.
Regenerative Medicine
Regenerative medicine harnesses the body's natural healing abilities through treatments like stem cell therapy and PRP. These non-surgical options stimulate tissue repair and reduce inflammation for chronic joint and muscle conditions. Our physicians are pioneers in advanced regenerative techniques.
Diagnostic Injections
Ultrasound-guided diagnostic injections help identify pain sources by selectively numbing suspected areas. This systematic approach determines whether pain originates from specific joints or soft tissues. 100% ultrasound guidance ensures accuracy for reliable diagnostic results.
TenJet Treatments
TenJet uses controlled saline jets to remove damaged tendon tissue while preserving healthy structures. This minimally invasive procedure treats chronic tendinitis and offers surgical-level benefits without incisions. We were the first New England practice to adopt this technology.
Sports Medicine
Our sports medicine specialists treat acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries using non-surgical approaches. Services include injury prevention strategies, performance optimization, and comprehensive care for athletes of all levels. Fellowship-trained physicians combine clinical expertise with activity-specific knowledge.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Tortland and his staff. Everyone is so welcoming and accommodating from start to finish. You can really tell they truly enjoy what they do. I first saw Dr. Tortland about a year ago for chronic pain in my ankle after twisting it. Nothing broken but tendon damage and pain that I lived with for a year. On the advice of Dr. Tortland, I opted for prolozone injections.

After one treatment I was significant better and subsequently opted for 2 more. I'd say I'm 95% back to doing all the activities I did prior to the injury which is amazing. Currently, I'm seeing him for issues with an old rotator cuff injury. Hoping he will have the answer to this one as well! Highly recommend!
